meet the.....baker
Lindsey is a very busy lady!!! Not only does she do custom wedding cakes, but she's also very known for her funny and downright adorable cookie creations sold at various places around town, such as The Drake General Store, Sam James Coffee Bar, and The Junction Flea amongst others. Back in February when I visited her for this shoot, she was in between kitchens so we hung out at her home while she baked up some heart cookies, which I can vouch for being completely delicious! She's always doing something new and creating custom cookies for a variety of clients, but I think they would make such an adorable favour for your guests. How did you get started?
After I finished baking school I worked for every bakery I could find...the last one closed down so I started my own company.
What inspires you?
Ahhh...very tough question...my friends, magazines, books, little kids, good food....cute dogs, coffee.
Can you give one piece of advice to a potential client?
Don't worry about pleasing everyone. Make sure you and your partner make the decisions...and keep it simple and delicious!
