Burroughes wedding - For the Love of Black and White

I just LOVE black and white photos!!!  Because there is no colour to distract, your eye goes directly to what's happening.  It can be so powerful and so beautiful in its apparent simplicity.  I am starting a new blog series called For the Love of Black and White where I'll post some of my favourite black and white images.

This one is from a hot summer wedding at the Burroughes in Toronto.  One of my favourite things about the Burroughes is definitely the rooftop with the best view of the city.  And it's such a real city rooftop, not a fancy glassed-in one that you'd often find on top of hotels etc. 

This day we tried to go up to that roof top three times and each time something happened.  The first time it was soooo hot we had to abandon mission, the second time it started pouring, the thrid time was magic!  There will be more photos from this wedding, but for now, some gorgeous black and white mood.
