emily + james // wedding

This was one of my favourite weddings last year.  Not only because James and Emily are dear friends, and we have all been waiting for this day for some time now, but also because it was so genuine and full of happy meetings and reunions with friends I don't get to see that often.  Emily is clearly a very stylish lady, (check out her online vintage shop, so many great finds) and I knew the wedding would be an understated beauty.  How much do you love her red dress, it's stunning, just like the bride herself!  And James is a super talented illustrator, who worked on the Oscar nominated short film "I met the Walrus".

We battled pretty fierce weather that day, with a tornado touching down about half an hour away, but it certainly didn't dampen the mood, or the laser dance party, and it even cleared up for an amazing display of fireworks!  This wedding truly had it all, and I'm so, so happy to have been there to witness and document it!  The Wedding Co did a little feature on it as well.
